As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Psychology Associates, LLP, I provide psychotherapy for adults of all backgrounds, ages 18 and over. I approach treatment from a humanistic perspective, as I believe you are the expert on your life and experiences, and as your therapist I can provide perspective, support, feedback and facilitation of change. I view each client as a unique, valuable individual and I treat you as a person, not just a diagnosis. I adapt my approach to your desired pace and level of structure, utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques.
I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at Washington University in St. Louis with majors in Psychology & Women and Gender Studies. In 2012, I obtained my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at the University of Indianapolis with a concentration in Health Psychology & Behavioral Medicine. My pre-doctoral internship was completed at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center.
Trained as a generalist, I am equipped to treat a wide variety of presenting concerns including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity exploration, relationship/communication issues, and adjustment to life transitions. My specialization is in Health Psychology, which addresses the following: stress management, mindfulness and relaxation training, insomnia, tobacco cessation, weight management, coping with medical diagnosis, and behavioral management of medical conditions, including chronic pain.
