My Specialties
I work well alongside college students, parents of children with high support needs, late-diagnosed folks learning to accommodate their neurodivergence, and individuals going through big life changes including grief and loss. I often help clients through burnout, nervous system shut down, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, people-pleasing, identity work and grief. I also have specific experience as an adoption-competent therapist (with birth parents, adoptees, and adoptive parents). I celebrate diversity, am neurodivergent affirming and am an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community.
Education & Training
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in the mental health field since 2016. After earning a Masters degree in Counseling & Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, I went to help students in a college counseling center. Early in my career, I developed a professional competency working with adoptees, birth parents, and adoptive parents.
Since joining Psychology Associates in 2018, I have enjoyed serving as a bit of a generalist. The longer I support people of all walks of life in the private practice setting, the more I align myself with the non-pathologizing and neurodivergent-affirming approaches to wellness.
Through trainings and lived experience, I developed an affinity for grief work, supporting special needs parenting, and embracing neurodivergent identities. At the onset of the pandemic, I adapted my practice and have remained fully telehealth since 2020. I maintain licenses in both Wisconsin and Minnesota.
