EMBRACING WHOLENESS
Holistic, inclusive therapy in Madison, WI
At Psychology Associates, we foster personal and holistic growth in the healing journey. Our clients tell us they feel safe, supported and seen.
We believe in addressing the whole person, integrating psychology, biology, and lived experience to facilitate a stronger connection to self and the world around you.
Each person’s path is unique, shaped by personal history, values, culture, and spiritual or aspiritual beliefs—and we honor that individuality in our care.
A Therapy Practice Rooted in Inclusion, Identity and Care
We are committed to cultural inclusivity, anti-racism and identity affirming care by acknowledging the larger societal systems that impact a person’s well-being and access to vitality. Read more on our commitment to this here.
A Therapy Practice Rooted in Place
Psychology Associates is located on the near east side of Madison, on the isthmus between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona. This land is known as Teejop (“Day-JOPE”) —the Ho-Chunk word for “Four Lakes”—and it is the ancestral homeland of the Ho-Chunk Nation. We acknowledge that this land has long been a place of gathering, relationship, and care, and that the Ho-Chunk people remain connected to Teejop today.
As a therapy practice rooted in this place, there’s a reason our logo is a tree. We understand healing as something that happens in relationship—to ourselves, to one another, and to the land we inhabit. Our location reflects values we hold deeply: community, presence, respect, and care. We strive to honor the history of this land by practicing in ways that are relational, grounded, and attentive to the whole person.
From your first visit, our hope is that you feel grounded, supported, and welcomed—held not only by the therapeutic relationship, but by a space that acknowledges where we are, who came before us, and our shared responsibility to care for one another moving forward.
A Small, Warm, and Welcoming Therapy Space In Madison, WI
Psychology Associates was intentionally created as a small, intimate therapy practice—a space that feels human, calm, and inviting. Our setting in one of the city’s most beloved neighborhoods on the isthmus offers a peaceful, grounding place to pause and focus on your healing. We prioritize connection over volume and relationship over rigid systems.
Unlike corporate or highly medicalized models of therapy, our approach allows for individualized attention and more consistent sessions, supporting deeper, more effective therapeutic work. From your first visit, our goal is for you to feel grounded, cared for, and supported every step of the way.
INDIVIDUAL, COUPLES & FAMILY THERAPY
Our practitioners are equipped with training in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Gottman Method for couples, and more. This allows us to tailor our services to meet the diverse needs of our clients.
